After the initial boom in facade restoration, the workshop shifted its focus to the restoration of historical facades and **stucco** and **staff** work, combining tradition and innovation.

**Atelier Del Boca** stands out for its commitment to preserving traditional craftsmanship while meeting modern demands. History of Atelier Del Boca: Traditional Expertise in Staff, Stucco, Decorative Painting, Masonry, and Restoration

The Atelier Del Boca was founded by Louis, an Italian who emigrated to France in the 1920s. Like many of his compatriots, he left Milan, crossed the Alps and chose to settle in Paris. The City of Light was recovering from the Great War, buildings were springing up, and Louis set to work as an artisan painter. His son Jean expanded the business, adding masonry and rendering to the company on rue Ganneron (Paris 18th). In the 1970s, Gaëtan Del Boca took over as head of the company at a prosperous time. André Malraux, Minister for Cultural Affairs, wanted all Parisian buildings cleaned. Once the "ravalements" craze had died down, Gaëtan Del Boca shifted the workshop's focus to historic monuments and decorative painting.

The Atelier Del Boca's historical pillars are well established: painting, both classical and decorative, facade restoration - an activity that has won prestigious awards - and masonry, which helps define volumes and restructure space. Plaster is also an integral part of the Atelier's expertise. Initially used to decorate prestigious facades, it was later developed more widely to decorate interiors in the form of staff and stucco work.

Pierre-Antoine Michel and Stanislas Gastaldi, the current directors of l'Atelier in their 90th year, continue to keep this beautiful house alive, offering their customers a rich palette of excellent skills: staff, stucco, decorative painting, traditional masonry and façade restoration; skills rewarded by the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant state label since 2011.

The Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label is a mark of recognition from the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industry, introduced in 2006 to distinguish French companies with outstanding craftsmanship and industrial know-how. Awarded for a period of five years, it brings together manufacturers committed to the high performance of their craft and their products.

These unique companies know how to reconcile tradition and innovation, know-how and creation, heritage and future, local roots and international development. Atelier Del Boca, which has held the label since 2011, had its label renewed in 2016.

TRANSMIT

The mastery of exceptional skills in staff and stucco work, decorative painting, façade restoration and traditional masonry, is based on a deep respect for age-old gestures. The transmission of know-how is at the heart of Del Boca's concerns. Since 1931, experience has gone hand in hand with enthusiasm: the older generation trains the younger, who in turn enrich the techniques and works of Atelier Del Boca.
